Sini
Sini is the heroine of this story, even if she would not call herself that. She is a Héla and can't understand the humans or the surface, and she doesn't want to either. Everything changes for her when she discovers her love for the sunlight and meets humans for the first time.
Nathan
Nathan is a human, who lives an ordinary life, but he wished for more magic in it.
When he sees Sini for the first time, it seems to him as if she was the personification of all the magic, that he has been looking for.
Granny Erna
She is Nathan's grandma and a incredible cook. She soon understands how important Sini is for her grandson, but she worries about it too. Sini finds her to be a valuable friend.
Ben
He is Nathan's best friend since kinder garden.
By accident he finds out that his shy best friend has met someone.
Kim
One of the few humans that befriend Sini.
She is very reserved, which might be the reason she is mostly alone, but this also presents the reason why Sini accepts her.

Jer Shawn
Jer is a demon hunter, the best Lumbule has ever seen. He was raised by the Gild, but he doesn't like to remember that part of his past, or can't he? There in his past lies the source of his curious talent to vanish in daylight and wander between the worlds. Unfortunately his journey to stop the demons also leads him further and further into his own dark past.
Jer
Jer didn't have it easy in his childhood and this fact plays a big role in his present. The little Jer looks innocent and fragile, but one should not underestimate him.
The Owl
He is Jer's closest friend and the one he trusts most. His eyes have the colors of the moons that shine over Lumbule and they tell us a lot about the magic inside this animal.
Jules
A Wetterlicht, who is saved by Jer. Intelligent enough to make up for lack of courage.
Marie Rose aka Rosie
A girl from earth, who surprisingly has eyes in the colors of the moons.
The twins Tips and Fips
They are also Weatherlights and friends of Jules. Their jokes and positive attitude help lighten the mood of the group.
